The Moldova International Stock Exchange (BIMx) announces the admission to trading on the regulated market of two issues of government securities (GS) with a total volume of over MDL 14.2 million. The admission is effective from 22 October 2026, following an application submitted by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova.
The two issues comprise fixed-rate government bonds with maturities of two and three years respectively. The annual interest rate is 7.75% for the bonds maturing in 2028 and 7.85% for those maturing in 2029. For both issues, interest is paid semi-annually.
Government securities are instruments through which the state raises financing from investors. Their admission to the stock exchange creates the framework for trading on the secondary market, where instruments already issued can be bought and sold between investors, including before maturity. The listing of the two issues is a step in the development of the market operated by BIMx, offering access to a wider range of financial instruments.
