Clearing and Settlement
Clearing and settlement of transactions executed on the markets operated by the Moldova International Stock Exchange are carried out through the Central Securities Depository (DCU) of the Republic of Moldova.
Settlement cycle
T+2
Transactions are settled on a T+2 basis (the second business day after the trade date), in national currency (MDL).
Status: The connection of the BIMx system to the Central Securities Depository (DCU) is in progress. The T+2 settlement cycle is to be confirmed in the BIMx Rules.
Settlement process
T+0 (trade date)
BIMx sends the DCU the consolidated report of executed transactions.
T+1
Confirmation of settlement instructions between participants and the DCU.
T+2
Simultaneous transfer of securities and funds (delivery versus payment).
Role of participants
Investment firms that are members of the Exchange ensure the settlement of transactions executed on behalf of their clients, in accordance with the DCU Rules.
