Bonds and Green Finance
The Moldova International Stock Exchange can admit three categories of fixed-income instruments to trading: government securities, municipal bonds and corporate bonds.
Government securities
Issued by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Moldova. Long-term securities are admitted by right, at the initiative of the Ministry of Finance; treasury bills are not covered by this procedure.
Municipal bonds
Issued by local public authorities. They can be admitted to the Regulated Market through a file submitted by an initiating participant.
Corporate bonds
Issued by commercial companies.
Municipal bonds can be admitted to the BIMx Regulated Market through a file submitted by an initiating participant (the local council decision, the CNPF certificate, the Admission and Maintenance Undertaking, proof of payment of the fee and two contact persons). Long-term government securities are admitted by right, at the initiative of the Ministry of Finance; treasury bills are not covered by this procedure. Admission to BIMx is a separate process, with no automatic transfer from the BVM.
Green finance
Green bonds
BIMx will encourage the issuance of green bonds in accordance with the national regulatory framework, aligned with applicable European standards.
Projects supported
These instruments will support energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects.
