The Moldova International Stock Exchange has launched the admission process for capital market participants

Chișinău, 28 September 2026 – The Moldova International Stock Exchange (BIMx) has begun the admission process for brokers and issuers, the final stage before the launch of trading. The first listing is planned by the end of 2026. The announcement was made today at Moldova Business Week. The event brought together BIMx's ten shareholders and representatives of the authorities, the business community, investors and development partners.

Specifically, brokers will be connected to the BIMx trading system and will complete the procedures required to operate on the exchange. For companies and municipalities seeking to raise financing through the exchange, BIMx will carry out the procedures required for financial instruments such as shares and bonds to be admitted to trading on the Regulated Market (RM) and the Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF). In parallel, BIMx is testing the ARENA Trading technology infrastructure developed by the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). Brokers will also continue their training and trading simulations before operations begin.

“We are entering the stage in which the exchange comes to life. Brokers and issuers are entering the admission process, the systems are connected and tested, and the infrastructure is being made ready for the first listings. We are grateful to all our partners and shareholders for their support and expertise. Together, we are connecting the capital market of the Republic of Moldova to European markets”, said Veronica Arpintin, CEO of BIMx.

Developing a modern trading infrastructure is also part of the Republic of Moldova's efforts to build a more competitive economy by mobilising investment and diversifying the sources of financing for the private sector.

“A competitive economy needs capital, and companies in the Republic of Moldova must have more options to finance themselves and grow. BIMx is creating an infrastructure through which capital can more easily reach companies that invest and expand, while investors gain access to new opportunities. It is an important step towards a modern capital market connected to the European economy”, stressed Claudiu Năsui, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalisation.

The strategic partnership with the Bucharest Stock Exchange plays an important role in this stage of BIMx's operationalisation. In addition to providing the digital trading platform, BVB brings the expertise it has gained in operating a capital market integrated into the European Union.

“For the Bucharest Stock Exchange, taking on an active role in the region means building concrete partnerships, and BIMx is the best example. We are pleased to see the Chișinău exchange infrastructure take shape and enter its operational phase. As a shareholder and strategic partner, BVB brings to the project the technical know-how and valuable experience gained over 31 years of activity. We are convinced that a functional, regionally integrated capital market in Chișinău will be a powerful catalyst for attracting European capital and for developing the entire business environment”, said Remus Vulpescu, CEO of BVB.

BIMx's initial share capital is MDL 29,475,000 (EUR 1.5 million), and its shareholders are ten institutional entities from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, representing key sectors of the economy and the financial market. BVB holds 26.67% of the capital, the Public Property Agency 20%, Donaris Vienna Insurance Group 11.67%, maib 10%, GRAWE Carat Asigurări 10%, Moldindconbank 6.67%, MK Kredit Company 5%, and OTP Bank Moldova, Moldcell and Premier Energy PLC 3.33% each. BIMx obtained the authorisation to manage and operate the Regulated Market (RM) and the Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF) on 21 August 2026.
